We Need Your Help One Last Time! Voting Until DEc 31, 2026

Founded Sept 5th, 2013 by Kellie A. (Burgan) Lucas P.A.W.S. House, Inc., a 501(c)(3), is a private, not-for-profit, incorporated organization run by a group of volunteers who are working together to raise the funds necessary to build an animal resource center and sanctuary which will be located in Cambria County.
PAWS House raised thousands of dollars toward the dream of building an animal sanctuary within our community — a place that would not only help save abandoned and abused animals, but also educate, support, and serve the people around us.
Those funds were raised through countless community-driven efforts, from polar plunges in icy waters to sweet treat basket bonanzas, Pet CPR classes, and many other events fueled by compassion and generosity. During that time, PAWS House developed an incredible network of community support and passionate advocates who believed in our mission.
Then life took an unexpected turn.
Due to personal circumstances, I was unable to continue leading the organization for a period of time, and unfortunately the momentum we had built slowed. While the original vision was never fully realized, one thing remained deeply important to me: ensuring that the funds entrusted to PAWS House would someday be used for something meaningful, tangible, and impactful within the community.
Those funds have remained protected, waiting for the right opportunity and the right purpose.
Today, PAWS House is entering its final chapter — one focused on transparency, collaboration, and community impact. Our goal is to identify a meaningful project, organization, or initiative that aligns with the heart of our original mission and allows these funds to create something lasting and positive for animals and the community we once set out to serve. Once that mission is fulfilled and the funds are responsibly distributed, PAWS House will officially dissolve knowing that the generosity of its supporters ultimately made a real difference.
My hope is that every person who donated, volunteered, participated in a fundraiser, or supported PAWS House over the years can one day look at the impact created and say:
“I helped make that happen.”
Unfortunately we lost access to our Facebook page (hacked) but
here is the link to the past...

PAWS House was built through the compassion, support, and ideas of this community, and as we enter our final chapter, we are asking for your help one last time. We invite local organizations, community members, and animal advocates to submit ideas for meaningful projects, programs, or initiatives that could benefit from the funds raised over the years. Our hope is to ensure these donations create a lasting and visible impact for animals and the people who care for them. If you know of a need, a cause, or a project that aligns with our mission, we would love to hear from you.
